At FAMETEC we are a European company born from the innovation and expertise of the EBNER Group, a leader in industrial plant engineering with over 75 years of experience in furnace design.

Our story began in 2012, when EBNER’s research and development efforts led to the successful development of a unique furnace specifically designed for growing high-quality sapphire single crystals.

Following this breakthrough, we spun off from EBNER in 2020. We leverage EBNER’s extensive knowledge in furnace design and crystal growth methods to continuously develop McSAP furnaces, allowing us to focus on cutting-edge technology while benefiting from EBNER’s established production capabilities.

With our McSAP technology, we deliver zero-emission sapphire substrates (ZESSS) with superior quality and yield through a revolutionary multi-crystal growth process.

Our ability to grow high-quality 150 and 200 mm diameter crystals along both the a- and c-axis offers exceptional versatility.  This, combined with our high yield and minimal waste processes, positions us as an ideal solution for large-scale sapphire wafer production, optoelectronics (LED, MiniLED, MicroLED), power semiconductors, optical applications, and windows or watch glasses.
