Celia Chen

Celia Chen currently serves as the Director of Data Science at Fanatics, Inc., a position held since May 2023. Prior to this, Celia gained extensive experience at Walmart Global Tech from June 2019 to June 2023, first as Senior Manager II, leading a team focused on item exploration and demand forecasting, and previously as Staff Data Scientist and Data Scientist, where significant contributions included solutions for inventory accuracy and the development of a machine learning system for shelf availability. Earlier roles include VP/Senior Data Scientist at AllianceBernstein, focusing on stock return predictions using NLP, and a Data Analysis Research Assistant at Columbia University, which involved developing databases and applying statistical models for research projects. Celia holds a Master’s Degree in Quantitative Methods from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, among other educational qualifications.
