Claudio Pires

Claudio Pires has extensive work experience in network engineering and security. Claudio began their career as a Network Engineer Intern at Cisco Systems, where they gained experience in VPN solutions and ASA devices. Claudio then worked at Rackspace as a Network Security Engineer, involved in process improvement, automation, and troubleshooting complex issues. Claudio also worked at Paddy Power Betfair, where they held roles as a Network Engineer, Senior Network Engineer, and Network Solutions Designer, responsible for solution architecture, technical implementation, and support. Claudio currently holds the position of Principal Network Engineer at FanDuel. Throughout their career, Claudio has demonstrated expertise in LAN, WAN, SDN, automation, data center, cloud, security, and application delivery technologies.

Claudio Pires holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Networks and Services from Universidade do Minho, which they completed from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science, specializing in Computer Software Engineering, also from Universidade do Minho, from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including Citrix Certified Associate - Networking from Citrix, CCIE Security #53810 from Cisco Systems, ITIL Foundation certificate in IT Service Management from BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT, CCNA Security, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CCP (Certified Trainer) - Professional Trainer Certificate from IEFP, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
