Anthony Moon

EVP & Chief Risk Officer at Fannie Mae

Anthony Moon is Fannie Mae’s Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer (CRO). In this role, he is responsible for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), which oversees the company’s governance and strategy for global risk management. ERM provides independent identification, measurement, monitoring, and control across the spectrum of the company’s risks. ERM also establishes the company’s overarching risk governance framework as well as the risk appetite. The team leads efforts to build and sustain a strong risk culture in which all employees act on their responsibility to manage strategic, market, credit, liquidity, compliance, operational, reputational, and information security risk.

Mr. Moon is a member of Fannie Mae’s Management Committee and reports to Priscilla Almodovar, Fannie Mae’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Prior to joining Fannie Mae in 2022, Mr. Moon led risk management as the CRO for the Wealth Management Division and the Morgan Stanley Private Bank at Morgan Stanley. He previously held risk leadership positions at GE Capital, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, and Bankers Trust.

Mr. Moon holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management Science from the State University of New York – Cortland and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. He has been a Board Member for the Cortland College Foundation since 2010.
