Stephen Baade

Stephen Baade is a seasoned professional in credit risk and underwriting policy, currently serving as the Lead Associate Credit Risk Underwriting Policy at Fannie Mae since April 2023. Prior to this role, Stephen worked as a Credit Policy Analyst at Finance of America Mortgage LLC, where responsibilities included developing a Non-Delegated Correspondent Seller Guide and aligning investor guidelines with company policies. Stephen's extensive experience also includes multiple roles at MGIC, such as Credit Policy Analyst, CAU Analyst, and Investigative Underwriter, as well as earlier positions at 1st Choice Mortgage and Homegold, where Stephen managed teams of underwriters and loan officers. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, obtained in 1991.
