Lahiru Samarakoon is an accomplished researcher with expertise in machine learning, automatic speech recognition, and acoustic model adaptation. Notably, Lahiru served as Lead Speech Scientist and Senior Research Scientist at Fano Labs in November 2019. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology from May 2010 to April 2012 and a Research Assistant position at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from July 2016 to December 2017.
