Greg Smith

Greg Smith is an experienced professional in web development and software engineering, currently serving as a Part-Time Instructor at Fanshawe College since September 2023, focusing on Web Development for Human Machine Interfaces. As a Senior Frontend Developer at Race Roster since March 2017, Greg has built and maintained multiple web applications and REST APIs while mentoring junior and intermediate developers. Greg is also the Founder and Co-Organizer of Explode Conference, fostering collaboration among entrepreneurs, designers, and developers since November 2015. With a strong background in software development, Greg has held various roles, including Contract Software Developer at Aquatell Inc. and President of GKR Enterprises. Previous positions include Senior Software Developer at 787 Networks Inc., VP of Web Tech, and Lead Web Developer at Inner Geek Inc., along with experience as a Senior Interactive Developer at adHOME and Lead Developer at rtraction. Greg holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology from Fanshawe College, completed in 2004.
