Vanessa Ratjen

Vanessa Ratjen has a diverse work experience in content strategy and design. Vanessa currently holds the position of Content Strategy Lead at Fantasy since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Content Strategist at Fantasy from April to December 2022. Vanessa also worked as a Senior Content Strategist at Turtle in February 2022.

Before joining Turtle, Vanessa was the UX & Content Strategy Director at Neon Co. since April 2016. In this role, they were responsible for developing and creating the voice and identity of brands, conducting stakeholder and user research, designing customer journeys and wireframes, and developing information architecture.

Vanessa had a brief stint as a Content Strategist at MetaLab from November 2021 to January 2022. Vanessa also worked as an Experience Designer at Disco Innovation Studio in 2021.

Prior to these experiences, they served as the Content Director & Project Manager at Partner from 2019 to 2021. Vanessa also worked as a Content Strategist at MetaLab from August to December 2020. Earlier in their career, Vanessa was an Editor at Tellwell Talent, where they provided copy editing services and wrote editorial evaluations from June 2017 to November 2019. Vanessa also worked as a Contract Editor at gestalten from March to June 2018.

From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Content Director & Producer at thenumber creative. Vanessa demonstrated strong skills in content strategy, relationship building, and problem-solving throughout their career.

Vanessa Ratjen earned a Diploma in User Experience Design from BrainStation in 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Journalism at the University of King's College from 2012 to 2013. Earlier, they obtained another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria, where they were enrolled from 2006 to 2010.
