Simone Godoi holds a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista-UNESP, along with a Master's and PhD in Botany from the same institution. They completed a post-doctorate in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry at Universidade de São Paulo. From 2002 to 2007, Simone served as a professor and coordinator of Lato Sensu postgraduate courses at Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba. They then worked as an advisor for the Scientific Directorate at the Brazilian Bioethanol Science and Technology Laboratory (CTBE) from 2009 to 2012 before becoming a Science Manager in Health Sciences at FAPESP in 2013.
