Barbara T.

Barbara T. is the Chief Scientific Officer at the Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) and has extensive experience in the venture capital and private equity industry as a venture investor and start-up entrepreneur. Previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer and Venture Partner at the Dementia Discovery Fund, and Senior Director of Neuroscience at Pfizer, where they led target identification teams. Barbara has also founded and served as CEO of TIAKI Therapeutics and Armada Therapeutics, focusing on innovative treatments for neurological disorders. Their academic background includes a Postdoctoral fellowship in Neuroscience from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in Biology from the University of Delaware.
