Luis Parada

Luis Parada is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering management, primarily within the e-commerce sector at FARFETCH since March 2018. As the Senior Head of Platform Engineering and previously as Head of Engineering, Luis has spearheaded initiatives in Platform Technology Foundations, focusing on AutoScaling, Global SRE, Developer Productivity, and Observability. With a background in leading teams for critical areas such as user authentication and Site Reliability Engineering, Luis has effectively enhanced the security and reliability of sensitive data at FARFETCH. Prior to this role, Luis gained valuable experience in various engineering positions at companies like UNO Means You Know, Abyssal S.A., and Double Negative, where responsibilities ranged from developing innovative solutions in the oil and gas sector to advancing 3D asset creation and animation pipelines in visual effects. Luis holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Computer Animation and Visual Effects and certifications in Project Management and Scrum.
