Merlie Calvert 🐸

Merlie Calvert has had a long and varied career in the business and legal sectors. Merlie began their career in 1997 as a Trainee Solicitor at S J Berwin LLP. In 2002, they became the De Beers Group's first ever Antitrust Counsel. In 2004, they were promoted to Commercial Director at De Beers Group Marketing, and in 2012 they moved to Mayer Brown International LLP as Of Counsel in the EU & Competition Group. In 2013, they became a Special Adviser to the Board at Sustainable Responsible Solutions Ltd. In 2015, they joined LHS Solicitors as the Head of Business, elXtr and Director of Sales and Business Development. In 2017, they founded their own legaltech business, and also became the CEO & Founder of Farillio. Finally, in 2019, they joined Antler as an Advisor.

Merlie Calvert received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Bristol in 1996, where they studied Law. Merlie also attended the London Business School to study Business Management and Executive Development.
