Farm Cornwall provides support services through its Rural Support and Outreach Team. The charity helps with advice on operational farming issues, business and financial concerns, family and succession challenges. It also delivers group activities to promote friendship networks and combat social isolation. The outreach team is trained to identify those at risk of mental health illness, including those potentially at risk of suicide, and can help them reach appropriate qualified help. In some cases the charity is able to assist with agricultural grant and farming schemes opportunities. As well as its charitable work with qualifying farms, the charity helps new entrant farms, tenant farms and others with business plans and budgets. From time to time the charity collaborates with other charities operating in the South West region where signposting and/or support from multiple organisations provides the best wrap around support solutions.
