Sid Verma

Sid Verma is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in agriculture, water resources, and data visualization. As the Founder of BetterGreens since September 2021, Sid has transformed grocery shopping by delivering fresh produce directly from farmers to consumers. In addition, Sid serves as the Statistics, Data Visualization, and Design Lead at Farmafield, where project coordination and technical integration are key responsibilities. Past roles include Co-Founder at Violet Acres, Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Illinois State Water Survey, and various positions that contributed to a PhD in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, focusing on hydrology and water resources. Sid's educational background includes a B Tech in Agricultural Engineering, an MS, and a PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
