William McCarren is an entrepreneur and founder with 10 years of operational experience at Amazon, Rocket Internet, and their own ventures. They moved to Kenya to lead operational excellence at Jumia, Africa's first unicorn and the first African tech company to list on the NYSE. They founded ZUMI, a B2B e-commerce platform for clothing retailers in Africa (2016–2023), growing it to $2m in monthly sales with 5,000 retailers, building an in-house financial services business that provided over $1m in loans, raising over $5m in equity, and assembling a team of 150. They are the co-founder and co-CEO of FARO since 2023.
