Amos Petersen

Amos Petersen is the Founder and CEO of FarrPro. Amos has over two decades of experience in system design and consulting, with a focus on agtech, telecommunications networking, and blockchain technologies.

Petersen began their career as a student teacher at the International House in 2001. Amos then worked as an ILEC Liaison for MCI Telecommunications Corporation from 1997 to 2001. In this role, they were responsible for facilitating the transition of the company from traditional to more energy-efficient construction methods.

In 2007, Petersen became a Marketing Consultant for Burnett Company. Amos helped design and implement a regional marketing plan and client outreach program. Amos also guided the company into new markets and designed novel network topologies.

In 2009, Petersen founded eccocast, a company that extended broadband wireless Internet coverage to include 400 square miles of rural southeast Iowa. Under their leadership, the company grew significantly and became a leading provider of mesh networking systems.

In 2016, Petersen started Amos Petersen Design and Engineering, a system design and consulting firm that serves agtech, telecommunications networking, and blockchain technologies. Amos has since grown the company into a successful enterprise with a team of experienced engineers and consultants.

Amos Petersen has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa, an AA in Business Administration from Kirkwood Community College, and a CELTA in TEFL from Cambridge IH Barcelona. Amos also has certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment in CELTA.

Some direct reports include Bill Winkelman - COO, Steve Hoff - Director of Engineering, and Adam Campbell - Sales Director.
