John Pecman

John Pecman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in competition policy and economics. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and a Senior Business Advisor at Fasken, John also holds positions as TMX Industry Professor at McMaster University's DeGroote School of Business and Senior Fellow at the C.D. Howe Institute. With a strong background in competition law, John has contributed as a non-government advisor for the International Competition Network and a member of the Business at OECD Competition Committee. Notably, John served as the Commissioner of Competition at the Competition Bureau Canada for over three decades. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Economics from McMaster University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brock University, along with a certificate in Public Management and Governance from the University of Ottawa.
