Principal Software Engineer at Fastly

Adam Wick has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Adam is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Fastly since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Principal Scientist at Galois, Inc. from 2006 to 2022, where they led the development of significant projects such as the Haskell Lightweight Virtual Machine (HaLVM) and CyberChaff. At Tangram Flex, they worked as the Chief Technology Officer in 2018, responsible for generating product definitions and roadmaps, as well as acquiring early development funding. Before that, they were a Principal Engineer at Formaltech Inc. from 2015 to 2018, where they furthered the potential of the CyberChaff project and product line. Adam's earlier work experience includes being a Research Assistant at the University of Utah from 2000 to 2006, where they contributed to the development of the PLT Scheme / PLT Racket garbage collector and the Magpie system for converting legacy C programs.

Adam Wick completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington from 1996 to 2000. Adam then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Utah from 2000 to 2006.
