Andrew Santell

Andrew Santell is an experienced cybersecurity leader with a strong track record in security operations and program management. Currently serving as the Director of Security Operations and Cyber Defense at Fastly since August 2023, Andrew oversees teams focused on Detection & Response, Security Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, and Penetration Testing. Previous roles include Engineering Manager at Netflix, where Andrew founded the Information Security Operations team and established its program vision, and Technical Director at NAVWAR, where Andrew led the development of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy for Navy IT. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Information Security Technology and Management and has served in various capacities, including teaching network security courses and conducting significant research in insider threats and cybersecurity technologies.
