Bryan Mack

Bryan Mack has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Bryan began their career as a Systems Analyst at Lansdale Group, where they collaborated with the Sunrise Senior Living team to develop a consolidated CRM application. Bryan also implemented a data migration process for Sunrise. Bryan then joined Sunrise Senior Living as a Systems Analyst full-time, where they supported and developed various web and reporting applications.

In 2006, Bryan moved to UnitedHealth Group as an Applications Developer, where they worked on clinical intake and care coordination applications. Bryan also led efforts to set up pre-production environments, build and package applications, and coordinate deployments to multiple servers and desktops.

After that, Bryan joined Lucas Systems as a Senior Software Engineer, leading project teams in implementing voice-directed warehouse solutions for various industries. Bryan designed efficient workflows and integrated the solutions into existing warehouse management systems.

Following their time at Lucas Systems, Bryan joined Source Marketing as a Lead Software Engineer. Bryan led the development of a customer rewards platform for a telecommunications company and a fundraising platform. Bryan also managed the migration of infrastructure to a cloud provider, resulting in significant cost savings.

In 2013, Bryan became a Software Development Manager at the Oncology Nursing Society. Bryan implemented a modern technology stack and scalable cloud-based architecture, replacing legacy systems. Bryan also contributed to the creation of a digital strategy and governance group.

From 2019 to 2022, Bryan worked at UPMC Enterprises as a Senior Engineering Manager. Bryan managed engineering teams for the healthcare data platform and the MyUPMC patient portal platform. Bryan's role involved natural language processing, data analysis, and ensuring technical direction aligned with organizational goals and needs.

Currently, Bryan Mack is a Senior Engineering Manager at Fastly, where they bring their extensive experience in managing engineering teams to the company.

Bryan Mack completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Bryan then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Engineering from Fairfield University during the years 2006 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Bryan Mack holds several certifications. In June 2020, they received the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Furthermore, in July 2015, they obtained the C100DEV: MongoDB Certified Developer Associate Exam (MongoDB 3.0) certification from MongoDB, Inc.
