Derek Rast

Derek Rast serves as the Area Vice President for Sales in the APAC region at Fastly, where responsibilities include leading go-to-market strategies, setting strategic goals, and overseeing business plans to achieve financial targets. Derek also holds the position of Limited Partner at Stage 2 Capital, contributing to the growth of early-stage companies through capital investment and coaching. Previous roles encompass Country Manager for Australia & New Zealand, Vertical Lead for Digital Publishing and Media, and Senior Sales Executive. Derek's earlier experience includes facilitating workshops for health officials in Uganda to enhance public health programs and holding positions in sales, business development, and marketing across various organizations. Derek earned an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and a B.S. in Microbiology from UC San Diego.
