Hossein Lotfi

Hossein Lotfi has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering and technology industry. Hossein is currently working at Fastly as the VP of Engineering, where they oversee critical components of the company's global infrastructure. Their responsibilities include ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of various teams within the engineering department. These teams encompass areas such as kernel and data path, traffic engineering, layer 7 load balancing, storage efficiency, HTTP caching, and network architecture, among others. Hossein is also involved in network telemetry, optimization, and cloud-based data pipelines for real-time data analysis. Prior to their role at Fastly, Hossein worked at Tesuto as a Co-Founder, where they developed a hyper-scale network emulation platform. At Google, they served as a Demystifier, and at EdgeCast, they worked as the Director of Performance Engineering, leading a team focused on improving CDN performance. Hossein has also held positions at Reply.com and Pars Online, where they served as the Director of Infrastructure Operations and the CTO of DataCenter, respectively.
