Jay Sakata

Jay Sakata is a highly experienced engineering professional with a robust background in leadership roles across various technology companies. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Fastly since May 2020, Jay previously held the position of Chief Architect at Tesuto from August 2018 to May 2020. Jay's extensive experience also includes significant roles at Verizon Digital Media Services as Director of Engineering and CTO from 2007 to August 2018, and as Chief Architect at IP3 Networks from 2001 to 2006 following its acquisition by Second Rule LLC. Earlier career experiences include serving as Network Director at HostPro from 1999 to 2001 and as a Systems Engineer at Netopia from 1996 to 1997.
