Liam Mayron

Liam Mayron, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in product management and academia. Liam currently holds the position of Staff Product Manager at Fastly since April 2022. Previously, they worked as Adjunct Faculty at Florida Atlantic University starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Product Manager in Security at Cisco from an unknown start date to 2022. From January 2020 to June 2021, they held the role of Senior Product Manager at Fastly. Liam's experience also includes being a Senior Product Manager at LogRhythm from October 2017 to January 2020, where they were responsible for product strategy and success. Before that, they worked as a Senior Cloud Security Service Architect at Akamai Technologies from May 2015 to October 2017. Additionally, they have academic experience, having worked as a Lecturer at Arizona State University from August 2014 to May 2015, and as an Assistant Professor and Chair of Cybersecurity Academic Programs at Florida Institute of Technology from August 2011 to May 2014. Liam's career started as a Software Engineer at Harris Corporation from June 2008 to August 2011, and before that, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor and Research Assistant at Florida Atlantic University from May 2005 to May 2008.

Liam Mayron, Ph.D., obtained their education in the field of Computer Engineering. Liam completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at Florida Atlantic University from 1999 to 2002. Liam then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree at the University of Florida from 2002 to 2004. Liam continued their academic journey and received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from Florida Atlantic University from 2004 to 2008, specializing in Computer Engineering.

In addition to their extensive educational background, Liam has also obtained several certifications. In 2015, they became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) through (ISC)². Then in 2017, they obtained two certifications: Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP-ISSMP) and ITIL v3 Foundation from (ISC)² and APMG International, respectively.
