Matthew McKeen began their work experience as a Developer at CCLE from October 2011 to June 2012. Matthew then worked as an SQA Intern at Symantec from June 2012 to September 2012. Following that, they were an Infrastructure Engineering Intern at Demand Media from June 2013 to November 2013, where they worked on the infrastructure team behind eHow.com, Cracked.com, and Livestrong.
From June 2014 to September 2014, Matthew was a Production Engineering Intern at Facebook, specifically working on the Storage team for GlusterFS. Matthew then continued their career at Facebook as a Production Engineer from August 2015 to May 2019. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, scalability, and integrity of the Facebook business and product, and also served as a tech and engagement lead.
In July 2019, Matthew joined Slack as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and held this position until July 2023. Most recently, in July 2023, they joined Fastly as a Senior Software Engineer, where they are currently employed.
Matthew McKeen completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from UCLA from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2010, they studied Computer Science at Stanford University.
