Mitch Nguyen

Mitch Nguyen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Mitch is currently a Staff Program Manager - Product & Engineering at Fastly, starting in March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Siembra as a Consultant, Technical Programs and Operations from August 2019 to January 2020.

Mitch also has extensive experience at Akamai Technologies, where they held various roles. From August 2015 to March 2019, they served as the Director of Technical Program Management, Platform Performance and Operations. In this position, they led the transformation of processes and productivity for a division of over 400 people. Mitch also defined and implemented product development processes and tools, organized and prioritized work, and led strategic projects for resource allocation and project reporting.

Before that, Mitch was the Director of Technical Programs and Product Operations, Media Division at Akamai Technologies from October 2013 to August 2015. In this role, they directed a team of 11 TPMs and led the transformation of engineering software development methodologies, processes, and productivity for 300+ engineers supporting 15 production networks. Mitch also spearheaded the transition from waterfall to Agile/Scrum methodologies and implemented JIRA/Confluence as the project tracking tool.

Mitch's earlier roles at Akamai Technologies include Director of Technical Program Management Office (PMO), Media Division from April 2010 to October 2013, Senior Technical Program Manager, Engineering from April 2005 to April 2010, Senior Technical Project Manager, Professional Services from April 2004 to April 2005, and Senior Solutions Architect, Professional Services from May 2002 to April 2004.

Before joining Akamai, Mitch worked at MECA as a Senior Project Manager from 2001 to 2002, and at Viant Consulting in various roles including Senior Technical Project Manager from August 1998 to December 2000, Technical Project Lead from July 1997 to August 1998, and Technical Project Lead from July 1996 to July 1997.

Mitch Nguyen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. However, no specific start or end year was provided for this education.
