Omar Suma has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology. Omar currently holds the position of Senior Solution Architect - Edge Cloud Security at Fastly since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Fastly as a Solutions Architect - Edge Cloud Security from February 2020 to October 2022.

Omar provided effective solutions for mitigation of vulnerabilities and supported pre-sale activities. Additionally, they worked as a System Engineer at Xinjiang Bureau of Water Resources from September 1998 to September 2000.

Omar Suma has a diverse education history. In 2013, they attended JMEC and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) course, specifically a Mini MBA program. Before that, from 2008 to 2009, they studied at Carnegie Mellon University where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the field of CIT (presumably Computer Information Technology). Prior to their time at Carnegie Mellon, from 2002 to 2004, Omar pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology.

In addition to their formal education, Omar Suma has obtained several certifications. In March 2015, they obtained a certification from the OpenStack Software Foundation, awarded by EXIN. In July 2014, they became a FireEye Certified System Engineer, receiving the certification from FireEye, Inc. In June 2010, they obtained the Barracuda Certified WAF technician certification from Barracuda (NYSE: CUDA). Furthermore, in May 2010, Omar earned the CISSP certification from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium. Lastly, in March 2010, they obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification from Microsoft.
