Richard Gonzalez has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over many years. Richard started their career as a System Administrator at Hospital Gustavo Aldereguia Lima de Cienfuegos in 2005, where they administered and maintained Linux-based and Windows-based servers, managed email services, and designed and maintained database servers.
In 2007, they joined Universidad de Ciencias Medicas de Cienfuegos as a Software Engineer, customizing the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform for XYZ Journal, developing new features and extensions, and integrating it with the Latin American scientific journal database.
From 2011 to 2014, Richard worked at Amyco Sistemas ID, S.L as a Senior Software Engineer and DevOps Architect. Richard oversaw the design, implementation, and maintenance of industrial applications, including a microfugometer calibration system and a maintenance schedule service.
In 2014, Richard joined IOS Health Systems as a Software Engineer, where they developed and maintained the Electronic Health Records (EHR) application MediOS, managed MySQL databases, and configured import tasks for ElasticSearch.
Richard then moved to Tritan Software Corporation in 2015 as a Senior Software Engineer, before joining Ultimate Software the same year. At Ultimate Software, Richard served as a Software Engineer, Technical Lead, and Architect, leading the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution, and implementing a multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution.
In 2020, Richard joined UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) as a Cloud Architect, before transitioning to the role of Principal Architect in 2021. In these roles, they led the design and implementation of a developer platform leveraging Kubernetes, developed custom Kubernetes operators, and managed Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts.
Currently, Richard is working as a Principal Software Engineer at Fastly, where they apply their expertise in software engineering.
Richard Gonzalez attended the University of Cienfuegos from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Informatics. Prior to that, they attended IPI Jose Gregorio Martinez from 2002 to 2007, but no degree or field of study information is available for this period.
