Sam M. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2007, Sam worked as a Risk Management Supervisor at Six Flags Great America until 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Brand Intern for the Southeast Region at AirTran Airways. Sam then worked at SapientNitro from 2012 to 2014, first as a Strategy & Analytics Intern for The Coca-Cola Company, then as a Senior Marketing Strategy & Analysis Intern, and finally as a Marketing Strategy & Analytics Jr. Associate. In 2014, they were a Web Development Student at The Flatiron School, and the following year, they became a Teaching Assistant at the same school from 2015 to 2016. Starting in 2015, Sam founded their own venture called airfairy, which focused on leveraging booking ploys in commercial air travel. From 2015 to 2017, they also worked as a Software Developer at Robertson. In 2017, Sam joined WeWork as a Software Developer until 2021. Their most recent position is as a Product Security professional at Fastly starting in 2022.

Sam M. completed a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Psychology at the University of Miami. They attended the university until the year 2013. In 2014, Sam M. enrolled in The Flatiron School but did not obtain a specific degree. They focused on studying Ruby on Rails during their time there. Additionally, Sam M. holds certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician from the Illinois Department of Public Health and as NREMT-B from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
