Sergey Gorbaty

Sergey Gorbaty has a diverse work experience ranging from software QA engineering to security architecture. Sergey started their career at OPSWAT, where they held roles as a Software QA Engineer and later as a QA Team Lead. During their time there, they established the testing framework for the Metascan project and assisted customers in configuring complex systems.

In 2011, Sergey interned at Salesforce as a Product Security Intern before joining Carnegie Mellon University as a Graduate Student in 2010. Sergey then returned to Salesforce as a Product Security Engineer, where they worked on ensuring the security of their products. Sergey was later promoted to the role of Senior Product Security Engineer and eventually became a Lead Application Security Engineer.

In 2017, Sergey joined Apple as an Application Security Engineer and remained there until 2020. Currently, they are at Fastly, where they hold the position of Principal Security Architect and has recently been promoted to Senior Principal Security Architect.

Sergey Gorbaty pursued their education starting from 2007 to 2009, where they attended San Francisco State University. During this period, they obtained a non-degree in Computer Science. In 2010, Sergey enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University, where they completed their Master's degree in Information Technology in 2011.
