Malcolm Brine

Senior Software Engineer at Fathom Global

Malcolm Brine has an extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Malcolm started their career as a Software Engineer at Drilling Systems in 2009, where they successfully designed and implemented a method to calculate sub-sea forces on submerged objects in real-time. Malcolm also developed algorithms for collision and collision avoidance in an ocean simulation. In addition, Malcolm was promoted to Senior Simulation Engineer, where they led a small team in the development and support of globally sold simulation software. Malcolm pitched and demonstrated the product worldwide and ensured client objectives were met.

In 2012, Malcolm joined Drilling Systems Middle East as a Software Engineer responsible for various aspects of realtime simulations, including systems architecture, user interface design, and mathematical modeling. Malcolm created new simulations of cranes and updated models for the latest control designs and physics.

Moving on to 2017, Malcolm joined Datamine Software as a Software Developer, working in a team for the core development of products across the spectrum of Datamine Resource Modeling, Underground, and open pit design tools. Malcolm enhanced these products by introducing more efficient algorithms for processing 3D data in the tool-chain.

From 2019 to 2023, Malcolm worked as a Team Lead at LOG.IN Srl, where they managed a team and ensured the successful completion of projects. Their role involved providing technical guidance and overseeing the team's activities.

Most recently, Malcolm joined Fathom as a Senior Software Engineer in 2023. This role showcases their expertise as they continue to contribute to the development of software products.

Overall, Malcolm Brine possesses a diverse range of skills and has consistently demonstrated their proficiency in software engineering and team leadership throughout their career.
