Andreas Thies

Andreas Thies is a seasoned Research and Development Specialist at Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik since February 2009. Previously, Andreas Thies served as a Research and Development Engineer at Qimonda from 2003 to 2009, where responsibilities included leading the 58 nm BEOL module. Additionally, Andreas Thies worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Atotech Group from 1998 to 2009, focusing on semiconductor process development. Academic qualifications include a Postdoc in Material Science from Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe (1995-1998), a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and a Diplom-Chemiker in Chemistry from Heinrich Heine Universität Düsseldorf (1991-1995 and 1985-1991, respectively), along with educational experience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1987-1988) and the completion of the Abitur at Konrad-Adenauer Gymnasium (1974-1983).
