Mike Astell

Mike Astell has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mike currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at FCDO Services, where they oversee a large enterprise with operations in multiple countries. In their previous role as a Director at Portfolio, they focused on developing various ventures and projects, including establishing a new venture targeting Oil & Gas assets and providing business and program advisory services. Before that, Mike served as a Director at Centrica, where they managed the natural gas business and was responsible for a significant portion of UK gas production. Mike has also held leadership positions at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, Shell, The Acrobot Company, Alstom, and British Rail.

Mike Astell has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London. Mike also holds an MBA in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. In addition, Mike has completed the Global Business Leadership Programme from IMD and the Executive Programme from IMD. Mike has also received certifications as a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Mike has also obtained a Certificate & Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors. Prior to their higher education, they completed A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at Hymers College.
