Ed Warnicke

Technical Steering Committee Member at FD.io

Ed Warnicke is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in networking and open-source software development. Since May 2000, Warnicke has served as a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco Systems, Inc. and has co-founded Network Service Mesh in August 2018, where active contributions are made. Warnicke holds various significant roles including Board Alternate at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation since January 2019 and Technical Steering Committee Member at FD.io since February 2016, where responsibilities include oversight of an IO services framework project. Additional involvement spans positions such as TAC Member at Linux Foundation Public Health from January 2018 to March 2022, and multiple roles as a committer within the OpenDaylight Project from April 2013 to March 2018. In terms of education, Warnicke earned a Master's degree in Physics from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Purdue University.
