John Blackburn

John Blackburn is an experienced operations and product management professional currently serving as Operations Manager and Product Owner for Information Security Management at FDM Group since March 2018. In this role, John focuses on addressing the shortage of Information Security skills by providing trained consultants to support IT Security, Cyber Resilience, Risk Management, and Governance. Prior to this, John held various roles at FDM Group, including UK Training Delivery Manager and Academy Information Security Management Trainer, ensuring the quality of training and development programs. Additional experience includes positions at Rural Insurance as a Senior Service Desk Analyst, Virgin Media as a Platform Support Engineer, and The Prince's Trust as a Senior Outreach & Development Worker. John began his career in the British Army as an Operator in Military Intelligence. John holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Digital and Technology Solutions Professional from Sheffield Hallam University, completed in July 2023.
