Mathijs van de Kamp

Mathijs Van de Kamp is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in the marine and metal engineering sectors. Currently employed at Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw since January 2023, Mathijs has previously held engineering roles at Van de Kamp Metaal & Engineering, where significant contributions were made to sustainable energy, constructions, yacht building, and shipbuilding projects from March 2013 to January 2023. Mathijs served as the first mate on the Oyster 575, contributing to a sailing journey from Darwin, Australia, to Turkey between August 2018 and April 2019. Earlier experiences include naval architecture engineering and construction supervision at Contest Yachts, where Mathijs also completed a thesis on the Contest 42CS. Academic credentials include a B Eng in Naval Architecture from NHL Hogeschool, earned from 2007 to 2012.
