Taylor Gates

Taylor Gates is a hospitality entrepreneur and founder of Proper Stays and Coastal Caviar, as well as a co-founder of StayDuvet, Feather, and Fluffy. Currently serving as the CEO of Proper Stays, Taylor specializes in luxury executive rentals and has built brands with a strong focus on guest experience and operational excellence. With a background in vacation rental management and a successful exit from StayDuvet, which became the largest luxury rental company in Charleston, Taylor actively contributes to the hospitality field through consulting and advisory roles. Taylor also influences the next generation of hospitality leaders as a member of the Advisory Council Board at the College of Charleston’s Hospitality & Tourism Management program.
