Lee Falin

Lee Falin has diverse work experience in various roles, including Lead Data Scientist at Featurespace since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Data Scientist and App Developer at Light & Lore LLC, where they developed ML data processing pipelines and utilized Python libraries for data analysis and machine learning. Falin also served as a Software Engineer and Full Stack Developer at Rogue Amoeba, leading the development of mobile commercial software products. Lee has experience as a Faculty of Computer Science at Brigham Young University and Southern Virginia University, where they taught courses and mentored students in machine learning and software development. Additionally, Falin worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at the European Bioinformatics Institute, contributing to the development of bioinformatics research tools. Lee also has experience as a Principal Software Engineer at Polarian, where they designed and built commercial software products.

Lee Falin earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Springfield from 2003 to 2005. Later, from 2006 to 2011, Lee pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from Virginia Tech.
