Tim Ward

Principal Engineer

Tim Ward has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Tim was a Principal Engineer at Featurespace from October 2019 onwards. Prior to that, they worked as a Director at Brett Ward Limited, where they were a freelance software engineer. Tim was also a Member at Cambridge Aero Club (Marshall Aerospace), and later worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Origami Energy from February 2017 to September 2019. Before that, they worked at Telensa Ltd as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2013 to February 2017. Tim also served as the Executive Councillor for Planning and Climate Change at Cambridge City Council from May 2000 to May 2014. Additionally, they were a Conservator at the Conservators of the River Cam from 2006 to 2014. Tim has also worked as a freelance software engineer at ip.access from 2002 to 2012, and as a Contract Software Engineer at Microsoft from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they were the Software Manager at Cotag from 1993 to 1996.

Tim Ward attended Bristol Cathedral School from 1966 to 1973. Tim then went on to earn an MA Cantab in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, graduating in 1977. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Chartered Engineer from the British Computer Society.
