Claus Nicolas has a diverse work experience history. Claus is currently a Project Portfolio Manager at Fedasil since November 2022. Before that, they worked as a Management & Organisation Consultant starting from January 2022. From January 2021 to November 2022, they were the Responsable de projets en appui aux professionnels social-santé de la première ligne at BRUSANO asbl/vzw. Prior to that, they had various roles at Möbius Business Redesign from September 2016 to December 2020, including Partenaire HealthCare Wallonie-Bruxelles and Project & Account Manager. Claus Nicolas also served as the Président du Conseil d'Administration des Crèches de l'hôpital Erasme at Université libre de Bruxelles from October 2015 to August 2016. In addition, they were a Program Manager - Hôpital Erasme from April 2012 to August 2016, where they implemented a PMO, managed the "Plan de redéploiement" program, and introduced continuous improvement principles. Claus Nicolas also has experience as a volunteer, conducting an organizational audit at Coopérative Maam Samba from April 2015 to August 2015. Finally, they worked at FOST Plus in various roles from March 2000 to March 2012, including Operations & Recycling Administration Manager and Assistant Quality Manager.

Claus Nicolas began their education at the Université de Namur in 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy in 1996. Claus then pursued a Master's degree in Philosophy at the Université catholique de Louvain from 1996 to 1998. Claus continued their education at the same university, earning a Diploma of Specialized Studies in the Faculty of Economic, Social, and Political Sciences from 1998 to 2000, with a focus on Work Sciences. In 2016, they attended the Université libre de Bruxelles and completed a Interuniversity Certificate in Health Economics. Lastly, in 2018, Claus studied at the Université catholique de Louvain to obtain a Certificate in Strategic Management of Healthcare Institutions, specializing in Strategy.
