Leen Buedts has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Leen began their career as an Advocate at Advocatenkantoor J. Deprez from September 1992 to May 1995. Leen then moved on to Touring as a Head of Legal Assistance Claims from May 1995 to January 1998 before becoming the Head of Auto Claims at Touring Assurances / Touring Verzekeringen (TATV) from February 1998 to December 1999. Leen then worked as a Insurance Technical Coach at KBC Bank & Insurance from December 1999 to July 2000.

In 2000, Leen joined Capgemini, where they held various roles such as Functional Analyst, Test Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Auditor until September 2012. Following this, they worked at P&V as a Business Analyst/Project Manager from September 2012 to June 2014, being involved in projects such as RDR e-platform, implementation of a calculation tool, and multi-channel innovation.

Leen then joined Harmony Group as a Manager from June 2014 to December 2015. Leen continued their career at ING as a Project Manager for Lending and Insurance from August 2016 to January 2017. Leen subsequently served as a Business Process Analyst at Vlaams agentschap voor integratie en inburgering from March 2017 to October 2017 and as a Business Analyst at Fedasil since November 2017.

Leen Buedts earned a Master's degree in Rechten / Rechten en rechtswetenschappen from the University of Antwerp, which they attended from 1987 to 1992. Prior to that, they completed their Humaniora education with a focus on Latijn-wiskunde at Onze Lieve Vrouw Instituut from 1981 to 1987. Additionally, Leen obtained certifications in ISTQB, Foundation level from iSQI GmbH in November 2012, and in TMap from EXIN in March 2012.
