Simon Vanmechelen

Simon Vanmechelen has extensive experience in the social services sector, currently serving as the Local Director of the reception centre for asylum seekers at Fedasil since August 2010. Previously, Simon held the position of Vice Director at Fedasil from 2008 to 2010 and served as Head of Social Service. Earlier roles include Trainer at Agora vzw from 2006 to 2008 and Teacher at PCVO LO from 2004 to 2006. Simon holds a Master’s degree in Sociale en culturele agogiek from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and has completed studies at College Sint-Truiden.
