David Tea has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. David started their career at Motorola as a Hardware Design Engineer where they co-designed a wireless 2-way simulcast paging control board. David then moved on to become a Sr. Digital Hardware Designer, leading the development of various digital products. David later served as a Sr. Pre-Sales Systems Engineer and Staff Engineer at Motorola.
After working at Motorola, David joined GlobalStar L.P. / RCM Technologies as a Test Director. David was responsible for project management, deployment, systems integration testing, and acceptance reporting for mobile satellite gateway system networks. David also provided technical support for satellite ground stations in Brazil, Nicaragua, Panama, and Venezuela.
David then worked as a Consultant at GlobalStar do Brasil before joining inCode Wireless as a Test Team Lead. David played a key role in Cingular's messaging migration project, supporting the implementation of testing solutions for the company's new wireless messaging infrastructure.
Following their time at inCode Wireless, David worked at TruePosition, Inc. as a Principal Solutions Architect. David led the Solution Engineering, Integration, and Delivery group, focusing on international expansion and cross-functional team leadership for mobile cellular network surveillance products.
David continued their career at JT4 as a Lead Engineer, providing engineering and technical support to the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services contract.
David then joined T-Mobile as a Principal Engineer and later moved on to L3Harris Technologies as the Chief Systems Engineer, where they held this position for four years.
Most recently, David Tea has taken on the role of Senior Systems Architect for 4G/5G Private Wireless Networks at Federated Wireless.
David Tea has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago, which they obtained from 1987 to 1992. David also holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the same university, which they earned from 1992 to 1994.
