The Swiss Mediation Federation (FSM) unites Mediation Organizations, representing over 1500 Mediators in Switzerland. Several relevant Mediation Training Institutes in Switzerland are affiliated to the FSM. Mediation is an established conflict resolution method, whereby a multi partial third party - a Mediator - facilitates a consensual process allowing to resolve a dispute involving two or more parties. The Swiss Mediation Federation promotes Mediation in all areas of society. In doing so, it makes a decisive contribution to a culture of construction and cooperation. The FSM both recognizes high quality Mediation training courses and certifies Mediators.
