Brian Wald

Brian Wald has extensive experience in aviation and military operations, currently serving as a First Officer at FedEx Express since February 2016. Prior to this role, a significant tenure in the United States Air Force from July 2011 to July 2015 included positions such as Group Commander and Deputy Operations Group Commander within the 62d Operations Group, overseeing global air mobility operations with 54 C-17 aircraft and over 600 personnel. Additional roles included Deputy Group Commander and Squadron Commander at the 57th Weapons Squadron, where effective training and budget management were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes contingency planning for the Department of Defense and serving as Chief of Special Operations in the Air Mobility Command from June 2005 to June 2008. Brian Wald holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and two Master's degrees in Strategy and Planning from National Defense University and Aerospace Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
