Joseph Slavinsky

Joseph Slavinsky, PhD, is a seasoned aerospace engineering professional with extensive experience in aircraft engineering and management at FedEx since November 2002. In the role of Managing Director, Aircraft Engineering, Joseph oversees the trunk fleet engineering team in global operations, ensuring safety and compliance. Previous roles include leading multifunctional teams for the efficient operation of airliners, managing heavy maintenance programs, and directing avionics engineering efforts. Joseph's background in the United States Air Force includes technical leadership of significant communication and avionics modernization programs. Joseph holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Norwich University, an MS in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a PhD in Management of Technology from Northcentral University, along with a certificate in Executive Leadership from Vanderbilt University.
