Melvyn Stokes

Melvyn Stokes is the Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance at FedEx, where they lead a global team of over 3,500 professionals responsible for the maintenance of nearly 400 aircraft servicing 375 airports worldwide. With a career spanning over 38 years—28 of which were spent at FedEx—Melvyn has held various leadership roles, including Managing Director positions in Planning Control & Performance and Aircraft Line Maintenance. They proudly served as a U.S. Marine Corps avionics technician early in their career. Melvyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Management of Technical Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Memphis, and they actively contribute to the aviation industry through advisory roles at educational institutions.
