U.S. Air Force Brigadier General Bobby Kinney formed R.I. Kinney Associates—a defense and business consulting firm—in 2021. During his 31 years of service, Brig General Kinney has served at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, major command and numbered air force, and continues to serve in the Air National Guard. Most recently, he was missions director at the U.S. Department of Defense Joint AI Center—responsible for leading coordination activities to accelerate the annual delivery of $250 million in high-impact AI projects across the DoD. Earlier, Brig Gen Kinney commanded an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance and attack wing, and successfully oversaw more than 5,000 ISR and strike missions in support of contingency operations around the globe. He is a career intelligence officer and was instrumental in the standup of more than 20 Air National Guard ISR units. Brig Gen Kinney served extensively within the Air Force ISR enterprise and was deployed around the world in support of contingency operations. Brig Gen Kinney received his Master of Business Administration from Webster University, Master of Strategic Studies from U.S. Army War College and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maine. He is a graduate of the John F. Kennedy School of Government and Wharton School of Executive Education.
