Prior to that, Steve worked at Centene Corporation as the Manager of Business Intelligence Development. Steve led a team of developers and was focused on enhancing the adoption of WebFOCUS business intelligence applications.

Before joining Centene, Steve was with Fidelis Care, which was later acquired by Centene. Steve served as the Team Lead for Business Intelligence Development, leading the team in converting from Crystal Reports to WebFOCUS.

Steve also has entrepreneurial experience, as they founded and led Higher Education Business Intelligence, a company that helped colleges and universities leverage their data for decision-making. Steve Waldman attended New College of Florida from 1982 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Honors degree in Population Genetics and Artificial Intelligence. In 2018, they also obtained a certification as a Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
