Michael Crones

Mike Crones has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and management. Michael (Mike) is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at FedPoint since October 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Information Officer / Chief Security Officer at aPriori Technologies from January 2022 to October 2023.

Before joining aPriori Technologies, Mike worked at Draper for a considerable period, holding various roles. Michael (Mike) served as the Chief of Staff - Head of Corporate Strategy & Communications from February 2021 to January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the CIO & Principal Director of Program Operations from July 2019 to June 2021 and as the Chief Information Officer from September 2015 to July 2019.

Their earlier experience includes working at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as the Deputy Chief Information Officer from January 2012 to September 2015, Project Management Office Lead from March 2010 to January 2012, Senior Project Manager - Strategy & Planning from August 2008 to March 2010, Manager of Infrastructure & Operations from December 2007 to August 2008, Manager of Client Services from May 2005 to December 2007, and as a Technical Staff member from August 2004 to May 2005.

Prior to joining MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Mike worked as a World Wide Messaging Architect at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) from March 2003 to May 2004. Michael (Mike) also served as a Windows Team Lead at Genuity / GTEI / BBNPlanet / BBN / Level3 from 2000 to 2003 and as a Sr NT Engineer at MediaOne / AT&T Broadband from December 1998 to August 2000.

Their career began at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where they worked as a Windows Engineer from January 1996 to December 1998. Overall, Mike has held various leadership roles in the IT industry, showcasing their expertise and versatility in the field.

Michael (Mike) Crones received their Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Merrimack College, where they studied from 1983 to 1989. Michael (Mike) later pursued a Masters degree in Information Technology Management at Brandeis University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2014.
